Grammatophyllum scriptum

It can become a huge plant. hot growing epiphyte and likes bright light. can stand no shade at all..

Spike about 2.5 feet long. If healthy plant, can reach abt 4 feet! . Flower Size 1 3/4" [4.5 cm] and can tahan about a month. The flower is malu2 i.e. top petal is not fully wide open, tu yang tak best about this spp. Native of SE Asia and out to Papua and New Guinea. Not sure whether ada kat hutan di semenanjung, but philipin yes. maybe sabah ada kot..

...have been known to make a love potion from the seeds of this species...hehe
